Killarney

The Killarney race track is usually reserved for motorised vehicles, but when open to bicycles, is the perfect venue for cyclists to train in a traffic-free situation.

Currently, the Killarney Track is open to cyclists twice a week on a Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

Tuesday is structured as a PPA Open Training Session facilitated by Gerard Genis between 6-7pm. Registration is at 5:45pm and the cost is R15 for PPA members and R30 for non-members. For more info contact Samantha on (021) 689-8420 or visit the PPA WEBSITE (www.pedalpower.org.za).

Wednesday is reserved for the Killarney Nite Series which is run as a Criterium event, ie. 1hour of riding, plus 1 lap. It is open to all level of cyclist and costs R20 entry payable at the start. Cyclists set off in 3 groups according to ability at different time intervals, so you basically get to ride in a bunch with people of similar ability to yourself. For more info on this weekly series, please contact the Club 100 secretary.
