2011 African Continental Championships

The African Continental Championships are being hosted by Cycling South Africa at Jonkershoek, Stellenbosch on the 12th/13th of February. This well known mountain bike venue in the Western Cape will see Africa’s top riders competing for the African Champ title as well valuable UCI points.

The Official UCI Categories for the event (Male and Female) are:
Cross Country (XCO): Elite, u23, Junior
Downhill (DHI): Elite and Junior

There is a limit of 20 riders per category, and each rider will be entered by their National Federation as part of the National Team.

The Toyota African Continental Challenge which will run parallel with the African Continental Championships will accommodate the ‘non-UCI’ age groups and those not selected to participate. All age categories will be catered for from Nippers to Grand Masters. The winners of this event will not carry the title of African Champion.
