This event takes you from the low-lying vineyards of the Hex Valley up the escarpment to the Karoo Plateau. From there the routes follow the old Hex River Pass railway line towards Matroosberg station, completing a circular loop back to De Doorns.

The 55km route is tough with lots of climbing and should only be attempted by fit, experienced riders. The 35km route follows most of the long route but cuts out one tough hilly loop. Both routes include great footpath/single track sections. The 15km route is an enjoyable funride over mostly flat terrain and is suitable for the novice rider.
