About Club 100 Cape Town

Club 100 Cape Town is arguably the second largest cycling club in the Western Cape with a member base of over 160 cyclists. These members reside predominantly in the Southern Suburbs, but include cyclists from areas such as City Bowl, Hout Bay, Noordhoek and stretching right through to Simons Town. Club rides leave from the Constantia area.

While the majority of our members are Roadies, our Mountain Bike division is growing rapidly, as are our number of Track Cyclists and Multi-Sport Athletes. We support racing teams in the following Road categories: Elites, Ladies, Sub-Vets and Vets; although this is by no means the be-all and end-all. Club 100 CT have many recreational cyclists, some of who pursue the sport competitively as well as those who pursue it on a very social level, with the main emphasis being on "safely ENJOYING cycling"!

We offer (amongst other activities and benefits):

  • Weekly organized Road and Mountain Bike Club Rides;
  • A back-up vehicle at Saturday morning Club rides to ensure the safety of all our members;
  • Social events, whether its coffee stops after rides, hosted talks, action packed entertainment or evening get togethers;
  • An informative weekly newsletter laying out the past week's results and news, as well as events for the up-coming week;
  • A hospitality drinks gazebo at League and larger Funride events during the Spring and Summer Season;
  • Hospitality tents (shared with Club 100 JHB) that are open to all members, at major races such as the Cape Argus Cycle Tour and 94.7;
  • The opportunity to be part of a team at events such as the Coronation Double Century, regardless of whether you're wanting to ride competitively or socially;
  • Discounts on Specialized products;

...and more!

So What Makes Us Different?

First and foremost, we have all been bitten by the CYCLING BUG and are PASSIONATE about our bikes!

We also:

  • Have a formal affiliation with South Africa’s top professional cycling team, Club 100 JHB and MTN;
  • Have strong administrative and support functions, with a dedicated committee;
  • Have members who come from diverse backgrounds, with a strong social and business network, yet are all crazy about cycling;
  • Support an internal development cycling program, whereby we help a few youngsters who would otherwise not be afforded the opportunity to cycle;
  • We cater for all levels of cyclists, both male and female, with the goal to keep our members motivated and having a great time!
